"your argument(theory)about the so-called many potential recruits out there waiting for hc to change leagues"

I never said potential recruits were "waiting" for HC to change leagues. That would indeed be bizarre and pure hyperbole, well beyond the scope of the anti-PL argument.
However, what I did say was that the PL detractors' argument is, in pertinent part, that HC's basketball membership in the PL inhibits successful recruiting of academically acceptable, top notch players. As this is a message board for the expression of individual opinions and not a court of law, there are no plaintiffs or defendants here and no formal burden of proof required. The argument is based upon common sense, the common human experience and our knowledge of human nature.
Basketball recruits like most other persons, I would venture to say, will usually make decisions based upon the facts, as they are. I know that there may be some other considerations at work here such as location, academic major and family, for example. But, generally speaking, if an athletic scholarship were offered to the same top notch, academically acceptable basketball recruits by HC and by Notre Dame, over a period of say ten years, what percentage of the recruits do you think would choose Holy Cross of the PL over ND of the Big East? The argument begs this question.
Moreover, I think you are wrong in asserting that the argumnet cannot be proved. The anti-PL argument probably could be proven statistically by a well-designed poll or survey of basketball recruits over a substanial perod of time who had been contacted by HC but chose schools outside of the PL.
Who has the time or resources to conduct such a poll? I do not, but I would not be at all surprised if the survey results validated the merits of the argument. Until such time as that is done, I guess we will never know for sure but will just have to rely upon our own individual good judgment, insight and common sense.

1-i think it's clear that hc is staying in the pl
2-i'm not sure why all the anti-pl'ers keep posting to change leagues when they either realize or should realize that it's not going to happen
3-imo there are no leagues that match our athletic/academic profile-i'm not an elitist ,but unless we significantly change our admit standards(imo unwise)we would be at a significnt recruiting disadvantage in either the a-10 or the maac-in the last few years our admiss office turned down princeton hoops admits and a 3.0 princeton transfer-there are not enough high level player/students for an hc to choose from-would there be more if we were out of the pl?-some,yes,but not enough to compete with all the schools that take minimum qualifiers-do i miss the foley, perry,jr years?very much so-but the hoops landscape has changed drastically since then and hc being in the maac or a-10 will not get recruits from nd,wake, duke etc and would not compete with xavier,st.joe's or even manhattan, siena(and other a-10 and maac schools) who all take players that hc will not accept
