Just leave all this be...The new coaches did not trash the Allen regime for many reasons but the two most important:
1. The players would have revolted. The amount of respect each player has for Coach Allen is huge. Coach Gilmore would have lost major contributors if he bashed the Allen Staff.
2. Coach Pedone would've have stood for it. He played for Coach Allen, coached for Coach Allen, and looked at him as a father especially after Coach Pedone lost his own father to cancer.
As for senior members of the administration not being there, I don't think it is a big deal. Why don't people concentrate on the several hundred people that were there to pay their respects to Coach Allen and show their support of the Allen family.
I believe this is going to be a sensative issue... You have a coach that was terminated under duress, a program that slipped terribly, a man who was told he had to stop doing the thing he loved best and then died 5 months later... Im sure the family is bitter...The man seemed like a brave man who loved coaching and his family... I believe we should all leave it at that.
