HC will beat Duquesne, San Diego, Marist and Georgetown. Prediction: 4 - 7 in Gilmore's inaugural season. Anything more will be a astonishing. Anything less will be extremely disappointing. Acording to sources on the hill, Gilmore has 4 years (or $12M) to save this program from its extinction.
Good Luck!

Has Luke Dugan been moved from QB to WR? Is it Matt or Luke who caught 2 passes -- one for a TD?

Would appreciate it if someone could post the article in the Telegram this morning about the spring game.

Please note the last sentence, a quote from Coach Gilmore, about the defense. By the way, elsewhere there is a post that Coach Gilmore has 4 years ($12M) to turn the program around or it will be eliminated. This is attributed to "sources on the Hill." I suspect that there is a decimal point missing from that $12M.

Coach Gilmore will be appearing in RI on 6/10 and shortly thereafter in NJ, so Breezy keep your datebook open.

Finally, with all due respect to our baseball team and our SID, why does the baseball win from Wednesday over Dartmouth still take the top spot while the spring football story is buried inside?

O'Neill looks impressive in HC spring practice

STAFF REPORT

Sophomore quarterback John O'Neill passed for two touchdowns and rushed for a third as the Holy Cross football team wrapped up its spring season yesterday with its annual spring game at Fitton Field.
"It was good to see both sides have success today," new HC coach Tom Gilmore said. "It was very balanced on both sides of the ball. Our first offense looked very good as did our second-team defense, which is great to see."
O'Neill completed 15 of 25 passes for 200 yards and the 2 TDs. He also threw an interception and rushed three times for 13 yards and a score.
Junior Steve Silva rushed 16 times for 68 yards and a TD, and junior Joshua Ruffin rushed 11 times for 54 yards.
"On offense, I really liked the play of several of our offensive weapons," Gilmore said. "John O'Neill ran the offense extremely well and threw the ball well. Steve Silva and Josh Ruffin really hit the holes and did a great job running the football. Our offensive line excelled in both pass protection and while opening holes for our running game."
The defense also enjoyed some success with junior defensive end Kyle Trodden returning a fumble 90 yards for a TD. Junior Nick Tenekedes intercepted a pass in the end zone to thwart another drive. Tenekedes led the team with seven tackles, while freshman Dan Adams had six tackles and a sack.
"Our defense made big plays," Gilmore said. "We struggled early on in the spring but after getting adjusted to the new coaching staff, we really came around and made significant improvements throughout the spring. The best thing about our defense is we still have a lot of room to grow."

Thanks, NTK --

It looks like the article was lifted right from the HC website. I was hoping for some additional detail.

I noticed that last year's backup QB -- Schiller -- did not play. I wonder if that is because of injury or some other reason.

By the way, NTK, I have heard some advance word on the NJ event. I am hoping things will work out, but it looks like I will be out-of-state for several days in mid-June due to a family commitment. I would very much like to speak with Coach Gilmore, and I will be there if it is at all possible.

Isn't FB budget is 2.8M to 3M per.? Therefore, 4 Gilmore years equal approx. $12M. Or darn close to it!
