Look at the comment below. It speaks for itself

"When I came here," said Dee Rowe, who was men's basketball coach at UConn from 1969-77 and has been involved in athletics and fundraising at the school for 35 years, "we dreamed of some day being the best in New England. Back then, we hoped to make it to the N.I.T. and, if we were really blessed, to get to the NCAA Tournament. We were striving, along with UMass and URI, to be in the top four in New England, behind Providence, Holy Cross and Boston College."

To all the other PL schools: When were they considered in the top 3 D1 schools in their region??? Answer..NEVER!!!
I hope Regan pins this article to his wall.

cf rivals. More importantly, I hope he passes it along to Fr. McFarland and the Board of Trustees.

It should be required reading for all involved.

I had made the Uconn comparison about 3 weeks ago. This article just verifies my information. Also, What is also lost is not only would the mens program be top tier, the womens program would be top 10! How would the NR sports be doing if the mens and womens BB team were drawing 10-12,000 a night at the Centrum???

How can anyone in the administration see this and keep trying to push the PL? We were one of the best and now they tell us to be in the worst D1 conference is good enough? Worcester doesn't buy it and it's time for the Alums and all involved to not buy it. HC, wake up! you deserve better!
