i agree that the grad rate stat is sometimes (not always) misleading - i would like to know what the graduation rate is for those student athletes who complete their elgibility - that is the crime, to make them seniors on the team and not close to graduation in the school. can anyone help me with this?

There's some info on the NCAA web site:

http://www.ncaa.org/grad_rates/

but it's not particularly useful. It's ten years of data (students entering college 1987-1996) but it's not broken down by sex or sport.
