how do you blame that on the school/coach/program? Would you suggest that the players that jumped to the NBA stay in school to help Uconn's graduation rate?
I'd be willing to bet you that if any current member of HC's roster was good enough to jump to the NBA after their junior year they'd be gone in a heartbeat (and in fact the only PL player in the NBA - Adonal Foyle - did leave after his junior year).
What should really be kept is a statistic for each school on the players that failed ot graduate/transfer/go to NBA. To point to a 46% number knowing that 4 players have gone to the NBA is unfair and you know it.
Finally, you make the point that Uconn made a mistake recruiting these players that transferred (most likely for non-academic reasons). Do you honestly believe that Fingleton or Sankes transferred to HC for academic reasons and not basketball? Does this make HC guilty? The fact is you have no idea what kind of students these Uconn transfer were so it's presumptious to judge Uconn or them.
