Subject: Mclaughlin/ Clifford in Boston Herald

Mclaughlin and Clifford were both named to the Boston Heralds Dream Team on Sunday. Had some photos and Holy Cross got great mentions. Also said Mclaughlin named player of the year in MA. Look like two great kids.

What position is Mclaughlin expected to play here at HC?

the amazing thing about Mclaughlin is she is a perimeter player at 6'2" and she can play the 2 or 3 and in a pinch you can use her at the 1, 4 or even 5. Believe it or not but against the press she became the 1 and brought the ball up. She will add size to the Holy Cross backcourt. If you look at UCONN that is why they're so tough they have quick guards over 6' who are athletic and can get their shot off against smaller players. Mclaughlin and Kiel on the wings is going to be fun to watch. Mclaughlin is very quick and agile.

Here's a guess: Placek, Bush, Fontana, Keil, Andrews. McLaughlin will probably get plenty of PT right from the start. I can see Aloisi having to wait a bit longer for significant minutes.

It won't be long before both McLaughlin and Aloisi see major minutes. They will significantly upgrade the athleticism on the team, and their basketball skills will further solidify them as major "players" on for HC. Aloisi may not start right away because of seniority, but she will not spend too much time on the bench.

Aloisi and Mclaughlin coulld care less about whether they start all these two girls care about is winning. Just look at their track record. Aloisi played on the State Champs in NH and then on a top AAU team. Mclaughlin won a MA State Champioonship and a MA AAU Championship in the same year.

Holy Cross is in for some exciting things from these two winners.
