Two days after he visited HC, he signed with NC State. People I talked to thought he was close to signing w/HC then it seemed like Sendek came out of nowhere.

I look for him to probably stay in the South, he came up for the Bucknell game that was the coldest weekend of last winter.

article doesn't mention that he will xfer in, just that he's transferring out of nc state. if so, i'm a bit confused. it would appear he'll be in a line for playing time here as well, with doherty as a frosh, and thomas as a soph next year. he won't be eligible to play in 2004, and by 2005, hamilton will be starting off guard as a senior, simmons at sf as junior, and I imagine thomas (junior)and doherty (soph)will split time at pg. who knows what it really look like though, i'm just specualting. seems like we're way too loaded at guard, and not enough big men, but willard can run a team and knows how to mix his players well. if it is true, welcome aboard mike! i hope your 3 years at mt. st. james are productive in the classroom and on the hardwood. good luck to you.

the previous post gives the 2 sides as to whether o'd would be the right fit for hc--if there was a schollie for oates,i presume there is one for o'd--the big question is whether rw wants 3 guards under 6'-and 2 in the same class-doherty and o'd would each have 3 years left together--with thomas sharing 2 of these--there might not be enough minutes for the 3 of them-but on the other hand,can we afford to possibly turn down an acc-sec level player?

My apologies....just noticed how my choice of thread title verbage led you to believe he was coming to HC.

The article doesn't indicate where he's going as yet.

As cf states, his former HS coach seems to think he'll look around the Carolinas as he apparantly likes the area.
