Is this kind of like our baseball team playing Miami of Florida?

yeh, i'd say that's a good comparison. navy is clearly the class of the league, which ranks very high and is the best sport the conference sponsors, along with men's soccer. unfortunately the team lost at home to lafayette on friday 6-3, and that pretty much puts us in last place again. last year we won at lafayette to avoid this distinction, as we snapped a 7 year league losing streak.
the team has made progress this year, so let's hope they are respectable today, and finish the season with another non-league win or two. this would be a nice sport for us to show improvement in, given it's regional popularity.

rough game today. navy just a bigger, stronger, faster, better team. a fun experience nevertheless, thanks BeatBC for the tickets.

After seeing Navy yesterday, I'm pretty confident the PL with have a rep in the lacrosse Final Four (Memorial Day weekend at Ravens stadium in Baltimore) this year. They are a very well coached team with a lot of talent. If I hadn't been rooting for the Saders, it would have been a great day, with perfect weather and extremely high caliber lacrosse. #2 ranked Navy plays #1 ranked Hopkins this week which should be a battle. Navy beat then #2 Maryland last week, a victory over Hopkins this week would undoubtedly lead to a unanimous #1 ranking in the polls for the Midshipmen.

Two final notes:
1. Navy-Marine Corps stadium is without a doubt one of the nicest college facilities I have ever seen.
2. To underscore the administrations commitment to the lacrosse program... The team awoke at 3:30am Sunday morning, drove to Manchester, NH and flew Southwest to BWI airport. They then boarded a bus and drove to play the #2 ranked Midshipmen for a 2pm face off. Apparently, a hotel room in Annapolis the night before would have caused the Athletic Dept to operate in the red this year...

ditto on navy-marine corps stadium - beautiful place to watch a game. navy/hopkins should be a classic matchup this coming weekend.

that travel itinerary is ridiculous man. you really aren't giving yourself much of a shot to compete when you expect your kids that are most likely up until 1 AM or so to wake up at 3:30 to play arguably the best team in the country. disappointing...
