Obviously the only way David B. Kelley could get another anti-Catholic reference into The Practice was to be sure that everyone knew that the pot-smoking, boob-displaying, hard-looking associate at Crane, Poole and Schmidt attended Holy Cross. If he had used BC,90% wouldn't have known it was a Catholic institution. I am sure Crane, Poole and Schmidt is a baseball allusion to Ed and Mike. My HC grad daughter who graduated from BC Law will be most disappointed to learn that she missed an opportunity to remain on the hill for her three years of law school.
I don't watch that show, but now I wish I had. That's a riot. I guess it's a good (or poor, depending upon one's point of view) example of editorial manipulation of reality to assist in making a statement or point to support the manipulator's agenda. Since I do not watch the show, I really have no idea if it was important to the plot or to the character in question.
