Subject: shut up

To put it bluntly just shut the hell up! With the exception of basketball your sports suck, so what does that say about you when you are near the bottom in the standing of almost every sport in the inferior league you so despise. You got your goddam scholarships and and your still not satisfied, but guess what the big east, a-10 or any other major conference doens't want you. Personally i wll be happy if and when you purple pansies get lost for suspossedly greener pastures. Have fun playing Towson and Vermont and New Hampshire in the America East, or whatever they call themselves, but guess what if you win the league you are still getting a 14-16 seed. Face it you were good 50 years ago, you are living in the past man, the college hoops landscape is lightyears away from the way it was then, hell that was in the days before black players played at major colleges, get a grip man. Its like Fordham arguing they should be a national football power because they won the rose bowl in the depression era..wow. Also the Carlisle Indian School is available to join with you guys in a new conference of Eastern Football powers..oh wait that was 1912 not 2004...get with it you are a small liberal arts college with limited athletic resources, you cant regularly compete with the bigs boys with all the money. Be proud of your past, and enjoy the fall aftrernoon football games and NCAA tourny basketball teams and the pride and sense of community that athletic teams bring to a campus, but most of all stop bitching.

Patriot Fan: You are absolutely right. We're not going anywhere and should be thrilled to be where we are with whom we are associating and with whom we are associated. The Big East and MAAC (give me a break) wannabes and other knuckleheads on this Board had your post coming.

Hear, hear! It's about time someone told the whining "fans" that dominate this board where to go. The attitude of 75-90% of the people who post here is almost enough to make me start rooting against my alma mater.

...btw, many of the "loudest" whining posters here are not alumni of HC, and obviously couldn't care less about the College. The others don't go to the games anyway.

Good to see most Holy Cross fans are still sensible, sorry for my rant above its just one of those things that has been building. Personally I find the Patriot league refreshing, I enjoy watching actual college students play at a high level, although not necessarly the highest level, but John Feinstein is right it really is how college athletics was intented to be.
