I raised two daughters, now in their early to mid-20s, and I never "routinely" gave them enemas. Today, they're both very healthy young women. I gave enemas, but only occasionally if my girls were sick and their insides were backed up or they were having an especially crampy monthly, and those were rare. I always used other remedies first, although my older dd has since admitted that she didn't mind getting an enema, as it always made her feel better. My younger usually resisted.

My mom always gave me a routine enema session once every ten days or so. As I got older it was once a week and then by my choice once every 3 or 4 days. I always took a routine enema on the first day of my period and again more if needed. I have not changed a thing in all these years.

Lynette, I on the other hand learned to like taking enemas. Maybe it was the so very close time with my mom? Even as a teenaged girl I looked forward to our time together and a good cleansing enema session. Later in life my husband did not get involved in my enemas one way or the other but, respected my private time and even occasionally suggested I take a good enema if I was bloated, constipated or had menstrual cramps. He did though take advantage of any arousal that I might get from my enema session later in bed.

I give my children enemas every weekend and the last sunday of every quarter a good cleanout of three large SS enemas followed by plain water and salt enemas till clear,as many as it takes. They just don't like enemas. Too bad!! they get the enemas anyway and when needed that is not very often.Yes!! husband and I follow the same schedule. We don't like enemas either but know its for our own good.

I gave my 4 daughters an enema at last after 4 weeks without an enama - but in reality constipation, colds, period discomfort or preparation for a longer trip let happen 4 weeks without an enema seldom.

Little Sarah!! Shame on you letting your girls go so long without an enema. Did you go that long with out taking an enema? They probable need a good cleanout enema series and you too!! I'd give you a good punishment for doing that.

My girls and I are seldom longer than 2 weeks without an enema. We do enemas when needed, usually about weekly. I cannot remember anyone of us had 4 weeks without an enema the last 3 years. 4 weeks is the limit when an enema is given without a special reason.
And BTW if one of my daughters wants not to wait 4 weeks she can ask for an enema earlier and will get it.
