How many steps do you need?
Let's see:
)try to "go"
)get out the enema bag.
)Pour in some soap.
)Think about how long it's been since your last BM. If it's been more than 2 days, add a little Epsom Salt.
)Carry the bag over to the bathtub.
)Turn the water on slow, and let it run hot. When it gets to hot, bring in some cold water to get the temp right. You want warm but not hot. Let the bag fill all the way to the top.
)Attach the hose.
)Carry it into the bedroom, or, get a couple of pillows and a towel, and put them on the bathroom floor.
)Hang the enema bag so it is about 3 ft above where your rectum will be when you are in position.
)attach the nozzle.
)Take off any clothes you are wearing, and get into your bath robe.
)Get into either the Simms or the Knee-chest position.
)Slowly, and gently insert the nozzle fully into your rectum.
)Relax.
)Open the valve.
That is essentially the "Steps" you take for constipation.
