If you can drink the water, you can use it for enemas.

Okay thank you :) just wondering why other sites seem really paranoid about using the tap for enemas. Saying the chlorine levels in tap water kill off the good bacteria in the colon.

Another concern is if it's okay doing it on a daily basis? From the same sites I've read people say it's not good to do everyday,I just can't see what the real harm is. But thanks for the responses.

Hi Jenny - It is ok to do enemas as much as you want- I do them regularly, but You have to have a good healthy diet too. The enema experience to me is l`ike I keep the bad things out of the colon and not get blocked up down there. Enemas with regular water are ok - I agree- but if you like your colom clean- I think it is ok to use tap water and a 2 quart enema with some lite soap. Just lay on your left side and hold it in. You will feel better.

The membership committee has determined that the above author,"Joe" does not have both oars in the water. The committee also states that Joe is not the sharpest knife in the rack. Pity.

I undestand, but I can talk about giving enemas. Just enjoy an enema in prvate. I would like to talk to you later- if you want.

Jenny,

Your concerns over enemas with tap water are reasonable. But, feel free to continue using the tap water, since it's much more desireable than the other alternative, which is probably 'distilled water,' in your situation.

Distilled water has a very low pH, in most instances, and can raise your acidity, which itself, is harmful.

There is also no danger from using daily enemas, or even morning and evening enemas on the same day, because at worst, you'll end up passing more urine.

Write me directly if you want more direct information from an enema-female.

Thanks

Hello :)

Thanks for the best answer......I think I'll go on and still use the tap water.I just wonder why on other sites people seem really paranoid and picky about using the tap water. I figured if you can drink it,then it is safe to use for enemas. Thank you for relieving my concern. -Jen

Samantha, Distilled water DOES NOT have a low pH. It is exactly neutral, at pH7.

Distilled water, having no electrolytes will pass through the colon wall, into the body. It may cause electrolyte imbalance and water intoxication. Stay away from distilled water and alcohol, in any form.

In analytical chemistry, tap water and distilled water are clearly not the same, but as far as enemas are concerned, distilled water and tap water can be considered to be equivalent.

For those who needlessly worry about water intoxication from enemas, the addition of 9 grams of table salt per quart or liter will give a physiological saline solution.
