Has anyone ever used a disposable douche (vinegar or floral) for an enema? I know some have said that they just empty out the solution and use plain water. Just asking because I don't want to use something harmful to my colon.

Years and years and years ago I gave myself an enema with a perfumy Massengill disposable douche, more or less to see what it felt like. I was in a motel, very constipated, tried and tried to go, didn't want to go out into the rain to find a drugstore and I had 1/2 of a Massengill two pack in my suitcase, so I decided to try it as an enema.

I could've dumped the douche solution and refilled it with tap water, but I wanted to see if it stung, so I stuck the nozzle about half way in and squeezed the bulb just a little. It felt ok and I waited a while and it didn't get any worse, so I squeezed some more in and after a while some more and eventually I was squeezing the bottle flat.

It felt a little warm in there, but not enough to bother me and I was able to lay on the bed and hold it in for almost twenty minutes. I finally scooted to the toilet and it worked pretty well as an enema! I did fill the bottle with tap water and take a rinse, though.

The problem is I can no longer remember which scent I used. I know it wasn't vinegar and water and I smelled like cheap floral perfume for a while, but no idea what exact scent it was or if it's even manufactured any more. Do they change their formulas periodically?
