What seems to be the problem with young women being introduced to the care-giving field? According to the
posters above, these young women are eager learners and
are much more mature than they are often given credit for.

One of the negative posters above even doubted that such programs exist at all, but they do exist, successfully.
So again I ask, what are your objections? At what age do you think young women should be trained as care-givers, if you contend that mid- to late- teens is too young?

Wouldn't the age of the sister and brother be a factor, as well as the age difference between them? Surely you would not make the same statement if a sister was 16, 17, or 18
and the brother was 5, 6, or 7? Or are you opposed to sibling care-givers regardless of their ages or age differences between them?

Absolutely. It is entirely unnecessary, and carries huge risks of extreme sexual confusion that can have lifelong effects.

Bonnie, your view is what I would call extreme. I cannot
agree that older siblings should never help with younger siblings regardless of their ages and regardless of the difference between their ages. I do agree that there must be some limits, but never? I'm not sure about that. I wonder if others agree with you. Let's hope they will add to the discussion.

I guess the first thing I would like to hear is why anyone thinks assistance is required in administering an enema. And should an 18-year-old boy "assist" in giving his 12-year-old sister an enema?

I don't have any 'problem' with an older boy giving his younger sister enemas if she needs them.

Too many young people who 'could' teach each other about the opposite gender never get the chance before actual intercourse takes place in the teen years.

I think that if boys AND girls, were 'taught' how to give enemas, the 'mystery' of boy/girl body parts would be more easily differentiated.

I am NOT advocating familial sexual activities. I AM advocating boys learning about girls, and girls learning about boys, BEFORE either one 'hits the streets,' so to speak.

Sex and gender differences have been a taboo subject for far too long, and far TOO MANY girls end up 'expecting,' when all the girls really wanted was hand-holding, and moderate petting.

The boys, on the other hand, want to relieve their pent up sperm, and will too often 'take advantage' of a girl who only desires gentle touching and other, non-penetrating petting.

That's my two-cents worth, for the day !

I believe that a 12 yr. old girl should be able to give herself an enema. I have a 10 yr. old daughter and she has no problem with giving herself an enema, she gets results.Some girls are more mature than others.I don'think that many would volunteer to give anyone an enema unless it is a friend or relative,hopefully it is not to see the opposite sex butt naked. I'm with Kimberly Jones on this. Why not let the child take over the responsibility at the earliest possible time? Much of what is said here on this topic smacks of prurience.
