 Those young doctors should experience with a 3H enema feels like during labor. As the daughter of a veteran nurse, I believe 3H enemas still have their place, but doctors should not force them on moms in labor!!

"...require a SSE before delivery." I find this hard to believe. Moms should always have a choice. I had my share of enemas from nurses, but not when I was in labor.

Where I work the the mom's are not given a choice. They are shaved and they get at least one 2 quart soap water enema.
Like I said, most of the young doctors to not want to deal with poop.

hey all, i'm 21 and admit i don't know alot about this topic - fortunately!
although enemas are used regularly in our family, my mom said she did not get one b4 delivering me. actually i can't imagine her getting an enema with all that was goin on in her body ... like me wantin 2 get out! :-)
