What I learned from my Mom, who's a nurse for over 30 years, is to rest for at least 15 minutes or so between enemas and "hydrate." Sip at least 8 ounces of a Gatorade-type drink. The rinse enema should be filtered water (if possible), comfortably warm and retained at least 5 to 8 minutes. After you have released the enema, drink another 8 ounces of Gatorade or similar. After having an enema series, it's a good idea to rest, especially if took the enemas because of illness. Just common sense.

WHAT WORKS BEST FOR ME AND IS THE MOST COMFORTABLE IS AFTER A MILD; 2OZ CASTILE FOR 2QT WATER; ENEMA IS TO WAIT FOR 30 MINUTES FOR A RINSE. DURING THIS TIME I AM VERY ACTIVE AROUND THE HOUSE. NOTHING LIKE DOING LAUDRY OR RUNNING THE VAC IN THE NUDE.

FOR A STRONG; 4OZ TO 2QT; A RINSE AFTER AFTER 15 MIN FOLLOWED BY ANOTHER 30 MINS AFTER THAT. MY DRINK OF CHOICE IS COFFEE OR SODA.

MY DAUGHTER SPACES HERS DEPENDING ON HER HOMEWORK BREAKS.
