Enema then a colonic the best and most efficient approach, I've found. Plus the prep with supplements you noted.
My first therapist, a 75 y/o lady in FL. would not let you have a colonic until she gave you an enema. Her reason was real simple. rather then spend the first 1/2 hour just clearing the sigmoid colon, if the colon was already clear you could reach higher and deeper. I felt GREAT after everyone of them.
PS: She floored me when she said she was 75...she looked 60 at the most.

A retired colon therapist, 80, told me she would always advise new clients to take an enema at home if they couldn't have a BM before coming in for their appointment.As Susan said, there's more time for a deeper cleanse.
