In 1984, a visiting nurse cared for me at home after I was critically injured in an accident. She purchased a fountain syringe and a rectal tube for me at a medical-surgical supply. The bag is made of heavy rubber and after 27 years is still in good condition. I replaced the tube about 5 years ago. I can't believe how flimsy the drug store bags are today.

Catherine: Are you familiar with any of the Equipment which is available on the market today. There is very little selection at Walgreens, Walmart or Kmart, mainly Cara, Dunlop and other unfamiliar brands. All appear very cheaply made. One old manufacturer produced a product by the name of Nearkid - - the rubber on the bag was so supple it felt like kid gloves.
