Today uyou can purchase quality bags on the internet. but I have some real treasures:
The one's I grew up with and still have are: A Davol Comfy 2-1/2 quart bag with 3 black nozzles, a curved douche with a thick tip and two enema. It was my first personal one at home, and was what I had before my aunt gave me the combo bag. It is now rarely used.
A 2 quart Davol Comfy combination syringe with original nozzles. It's the one my aunt gave me along with a Higginson syringe when she taught me how to use enemas for my monthly discomfort. The hose has been replaced. The Higginson deteriorated and was thrown away. It's now basically a keepsake that I use only a few times a year because being a combo bag it is difficult to dry properly and takes a lot of time, I use a hair dryer set on low while watching TV.
I also acquired several that were my grandmothers and mother’s bags, they are; A unknown brand fountain syringe, a genuine rubber model with a fine-textured surface that was my Grandmothers, it's a real treasure. I can remember getting half dozen enemas from her with it. It has the 3 original nozzles and been well cared for, she dried it immediately after use and kept it put away out of the sun, I can't remember seeing it hang to dry for any length of time, and the hose is not original. I have used it a few times over the years but am very careful with it; the enema nozzle is very thin so I use the douche nozzle. After my mother passed away I received her 3 quart Davol, American Beauty fountain syringe with a black, thick hard rubber douche nozzle (that is wonderful for taking enemas) and black child and adult bat shaped enema nozzles. The hose has been replaced. Like my grandmothers bag I use it occasionally but am very careful with it.
