 I was a stool witholder and wouldn't go. I always had a suppository up my bum. Mom started giving me fleet enemas at age 7

Well, we all resisted as a kid, didn't we?
It's the "taking power over one's body away" aspect. The fact that it's medically justified doesn't make it easier to deal with. But what's the alternative - autointoxication, intestinal obstructions, colorectal cancer?

Resisting an enema as kid meant an immediate and very sound spanking! The spankings were followed by soap suds enemas.
