Cathy it depends on how high you have the enema bag either holding it or have it on a tree coat or i.v pole...the enema
tube you use makes a big difference, if you just use the
regular enema tube that comes with enema bag it will take
a bit of time, compared to using the douche tube as you
know has many holes around the end of the tube. The enema hose has very little to do with the time flow it is the height and type of enema tube you use, hope this has helped you cathy.

Whether I'm having an enema in the bathroom or in bed, the top of the syringe is hanging about 36 inches above my bottom. My husband rigged up a clothes tree to use in the bedroom so the bag hangs the right height so the pressure isn't too much. I have to take slow enemas to avoid cramping. It takes me at least 15 to 20 minutes, opening and closing the clamp, to take two quarts. By then the solution has "done it work" most effectively and I'm able to rid my system of some pretty tough clogs, although sometimes (worst case) it takes two or three high enemas over a period of a couple of hours to clear me out. I try to keep that from happening, though.
