Sometimes it takes a little while for the system to get going again, especially after a good purging. But I usually don't take an enema the next day or the day after ... but if I haven't had a BM by the third day, it's time for another flushing. I think maybe I'll keep your method in mind the next time I have a problem, which, like you, is not very often. But when it happens, oh my, I need help.
