In reply to: Francine 's message, "probiotic" on 12:59:52 08/19/09 Wed

After a colonic, I always take a probiotic... but not as a pill. My therapist dissolves some of the powder in a few ounces of water, puts it into a disposable bag and gives it to me as a retention enema with the tube slipped in as high as possible.

I gotta tell you the stuff really works. Before I had my first colonic I was constipated most of the time. After getting one colonic and the probiotic, the constipation completely went away. Now I go every few months for a tune-up if things start to slow down.

Lori,
Does your therapist use the open or closed system? About how far in does she put the tube? And how much does she give you and how long do you hold it? I'm asking because it seems that I could do this at home after a good cleansing enema.

My therapist's advice is the same as Lori's but has her clients do the bifudis implant at home, using a small Fleet-type bottle so it can be easily retained and absorbed easily and expulsion not needed. It's ideal to do at bedtime after a colonic or thorough enema.
Lori: Have you thought about giving yourself a good enema now and then between colonics to keep your system in good shape?

My therapist uses a Dotolo closed system, but usually starts the session with a warm water enema because that results in a more productive session.

After the colonic is over, I sit on the toilet for a while to expel any remaining water, then get back onto the table for the probiotic.

The tube is slipped in 8 to 12 inches and the probiotic enema given. It's 3 or 4 ounces at most and looks slightly milky. The volume is small enough that I don't even feel it. I then move into several different positions to spread the stuff around my colon, get dressed and leave.

Normally, after a colonic, I don't have a BM for 4 or 5 days and it is tough going. After the probiotic, the post-colonic trip is always easy.

I suppose I could buy the supplement and do it at home, but I like a special treat every so often.
