Joan, I'm no doctor or scientist so I can't answer many of your questions but I have taken many coffee enemas and I can tell you what I know.
I use regular coffee the same brand and strength as I drink. I take 1 quart. I usually get the first urge to go at about 5 minutes but I resist and it goes away after a few minutes. At 10-15 minutes I get the next wave and usually let it out. It comes out quickly and completely. If I resist the 15 minute urge, it comes back about every 15 minutes but each one less strong than the one before. As a matter of fact if I hold for 30 minutes or longer a partial evacuation and several small ones spread out over an hour or so is common. The longest I have held is 1 hour. Not one of the more pleasant ones, but I had to try it. Adding salt or baking soda slows down the evacuation too. Normally I do not add anything to the coffee.
I do not feel a high from the coffee if I hold for my usual 15 minutes but if I hold 30 or longer I feel light headed. I think more from absorbing extra water than from the caffeen.
That's just me. Maybe others have a different experience or opinion.

I had one this morning and it was very pleasant. I made a quart of organic coffe using using coffee beans ground in my grinder and bottled water and held it for 25 minutes following the enema. The release was almost complete with just a small release l little later. I have been feeling great the last hour or so and will probably take a couple of 2 quart clear rinses later in the afternoon to flush out any toxins that were released by the enema. That is my experience. I try to do this routine about every 2 or 3 weeks.
