Chris: I bought a Tinykit several years ago, thinking I'd like it for its small size, and for use when we're traveling - it was OK, but I finally decided that I liked the folding syringe better despite the fact that its more cumbersome what with the hose and all. I use my bulb douche for a quick morning cleanup after some early lovemaking, and it stays in the bathroom rather than accompanying us on travel.

You mentioned your husband bringing the syringe into the shower when he thinks you need some "special cleaning up". How about sharing some of the details of what that "special cleaning up" leads to? I'll bet it's fun! Our equivalent can range from just plain fooling around, all the way to shower sex - any of the possibilities are enjoyable.

Susan:
Yes, the Tiny kit is OK and it does what I want it to do, but when I compare it with the folding syringe that I had used for so long, it just isn't the same. That folding bag was well made and maybe it is some of the memories that came with it. What's more it was the first syringe that I ever douched with.

No, the Tiny kit is not likely to last me anywhere near as long either. Who would ever had thought that it would eventually wear out. As for our combination syringe that I bought right after we got married, it will probably last another 20 years at least.

Chris: In one of your earlier posts, you mentioned the breakthrough sensation on your wedding night that your brain finally told you that it was OK to be making love now. This is a very astute observation you have made, and we had essentially the same experience of having the restrictions thrown off. I have mentioned that we imposed a bunch of limits on our pre-marriage activities, and then we did all we could to kind of get around those limits without actually engaging in intercourse. Example: I would unhook my bra so he could fondle my breasts to his heart's content, and he could caress my vaginal lips and clitoris, but only through my panties (which definitely reduced the effect for me!) Yes, that wedding night brought out a marvelous realization that there weren't any restrictions left, and that all that virginal fooling around was not only OK but no longer had a stopping point!

What reminded me of this line of thought was this morning when we woke up and started snuggling and hugging (early stages of foreplay), I couldn't help chuckling and asking him if he remembered how frustrating it once was to say goodnight with all the hormones raging. In full agreement, we continued this reminiscing (actually, rather fond reminiscing - he reminded me that we both thought that caressing me through my panties was a LOT of fun at the time) to the point where it rather shortened the foreplay when we got to talking about the wedding night realization that all limits were off! Afterward, when I prepared my douche bag and invited him into the shower to continue our celebration of "anything goes", we continued the discussion of how we both used to handle our level of arousal in the shower after our final goodnight kiss - both by hand, but me assisted by my bulb douche nozzle in the role of an impromptu dildo. With that, he asked me to get both it and the KY out and for both of us to reenact what we did back then, but together so that we would enjoy all the details of each others' fun. A real trip! Both orgasms were outstanding!

Chris, I know I'd enjoy it, and I'm sure others would as well, if you'd share some of the details of how you and your husband deal with the "special cleaning up" you referred to in one of your posts. It sounds like fun!

Oh Susan, did you bring back some memories now. While I never unhooked my bra while dating I was always amazed at how adept my fiance was at being able to undo the hooks with one hand. But I still laugh about the time that I first wore one with a front closure and he reached behind me and not finding what he was looking for. He really liked the convenience of that bra, but come to think of it so did I. I'm off topic and I apologize.

When I talk about special cleaning up it used to mean those morning sessions when we would make love multiple times and I seriously needed take my douche bag into the shower. Special can still be one of those mornings at the very end of my period when the last tampon was the one overnight. When that happens I will always douche in the morning and that's when he decides that I need some "help". My husband has to have super sensitive hearing because he knows every time that I'm making myself a douche. But with that special help, thank goodness for the KY.

Very interesting thread! I've been fascinated by following the exchanges between you two, especially the reminiscences you recounted. Made me think back to some fond ones of my own (which were somewhat more recent). I'm sure readers would enjoy any further experiences that you would be willing to share.

I'd like to remind Kathy and Sally Sue that their posts made brief mention of hubby's response - I'll bet some details of YOUR response to his arousal would be interesting to a lot of us if you're willing to share. To me, the feminine response to the way males are aroused by watching (or "helping") us take a douche is fascinating. I know that many of us find douching to be pleasant, but when doing It "solo", find that there is only a minimal erotic component involved - an exception, of course, is the description by Susan elsewhere in this thread of using her douche to assist in masturbating after a steamy but intercourse-free goodnight ending to a date. As opposed to the "solo" experience, it seems that many (perhaps most) women experience a strong erotic arousal in response to their husband's reaction. A fascinating aspect (to me) of this is that both his and hers arousal will reliably occur even shortly after one or even multiple orgasms in bed. In my case, seeing his erection spring to life as I prepare the douche and proceed to insert the nozzle eventually brings my response level up to match. If any of you have any comments that would bear on this particular male-reaction-causing-female-reaction I'd be happy to hear them. In one of her posts, Clarice noted that although her response is somewhat slower to develop than his (my experience is the same), it soon builds to match his. Perhaps it's similar to our need for foreplay to get in the mood for sex, whereas he can have his fuse lit almost instantly.

I'm sure there are lots of stories waiting to be told, and lots of us hoping to enjoy reading them.
