When growing up, I had many enemas administered by my mother and her next door neighbot, a nurse. Mom would usually wait until her neighbor was off duty to assist. Also at her house was an enema table where my hips were raised up on a slanted board and my legs went into stirrups raised higher. I took them on my back at her house. She had an IV stand for the bag. Nest door I could count on several enemas and womanly coaxing from mom and nurse. Mom used her own enema equipment and kept one set at the nurse's house, another in our house. As an adult, it occurs to me the nurse must have given others enemas who visited her. When sick, i always got enemas. I'm a private person and did not tell my friends. Because of the habit from childhood of having enemas always administered, now I prefer to go for a colonic every couple of weeks. I don't have patience for enema prep.
