I think maybe UNT turned the WAC down. Either that, or you have to believe that UTSA and TSSM have leap-frogged them. Both leave us begging the question: "When is Spaniolo going to move, and what direction is he going to take us?"

We either have to move up (to the WAC or Sunbelt), go sideways (play football in the Southland), or continue in our gradual "death spiral," as our student-fee-based athletic programs fall farther and farther behind the externally funded programs of the rest of the SLC. For less than 1/20th of what we're spending on the new arena, we could start up football, soccer and women's golf, and be in position to jump ahead of Lamar, UTSA and TSSM.
