Nov. 17, 2004

ONTARIO, Calif. - Oliver Binns, general manager of the American Basketball Association (ABA) Ontario Warriors professional basketball team, announced that the Warriors have signed their sixth player, Steven Barber, for the upcoming season.

Barber, 24, will make a strong effort to be the team's point guard. The 6-foot 170-pound guard played recently for the Boston Celtics in training camp before being released. A native of San Antonio, Texas, Barber attended the University of Texas-Arlington where he averaged 20 points and 5 assists per game during a three-year career. He was named first-team Southland Conference twice.
