Guidry is obviously playing on his amazing athletic ability.....he makes a LOT of mistakes, but for example against San Diego He made a HORRIBLE pass to an opposing player, but then made up for it by getting a steal and then getting a dunk......if he learns how to play smart basketball then he will be VERY VERY good for this team....he already plays solid defense and has a nice shot....

Derrick is still the best freshmen we have had in my opinion.....Jermaine is good, but DO could take over a game then......Jermaine is not an adept passer (but not many big men fresh are) but has some very nice post moves and plays OK defense........

Donnie Beacham played well in pretty much every game he played.....he was just limited due to injuries....

BUT I still put the 2000 class above ANY class because they got UTA a title....

I really like Sauls' game......good size, ability to penetrate, very athletic.......it would not suprise me to see him surpass both Myles and Rodrick in the next season or two......

I like how Posey plays....he might not be the most talented, but he will give you 1000000% every game, plays with passion and in my opinion might already be one of the leaders on this team...he is a winner....

Keith Howell started from day one as a Maverick, he spent his first 2 seasons in Grambling (Started there too).....

Hey we have much more to look forward too.....for the 2005 class we added 2 more athletic players that have size, and Coach Cross told me that due to the limited # of scholarships they had for 2005 and how the first two guys on their list signed (Henry / Vereen) they have really been focusing and working hard on the 2006 class.......We should expect that extra work to show HUGE dividends in that class.......

It is a good time to be a fan of UTA Maverick basketball gentlemen
