I've been battling a virus all week, so I couldn't go. But doesn't sound like I missed much.

Our homecoming games usually average 1000-1200 or so...even like 1200 came out last year for the Valentine's weekend game when it snowed 5" and it was on Fox Sports...but homecoming never meant much to me. Celebrating the greatness of UTA is a great day at Texas Hall. However, watching a couple of student council folks getting some award that few students are even aware of or care about about makes for a long halftime.

Not to dispute the coach, but how can a team not be ready or not be expecting a 2-3 zone? How much adjustment is there to be had? Isn't a 2-3 the most basic defense in basketball? And just me, or is it not the exactly toughest to pick apart? Patience is rewarded with good positioning and passing. Point guard-to wing-to paint-to underneath and score. Or just bomb away from outside.

I'll see if I can find a box score to get a better idea of just how bad it was...sounds awful.

And regardless if Lamar is good, why could we hang with them for 20:00 and then get outscored THAT badly over the next 20:00? San Diego...McNeese...Lamar...pattern developing

With the baby on the way in a month or so, I doubt I'll be able to make it to Texas Hall again this season...but I'll definitely be following the team. Makes some noise for me and keep us posted on our Mavs.
