Subject: Maverick Club

I was thinking about the Maverick Club the other day and it hit me ....

How come when sports expansion was being talked about we only heard from the Athletics Alumni Association and never the Maverick Club????

What is their exact purpose other than just being another revenue stream for the athletics department ... fundraisers?

The only time I hear anything about them is when I have been invited downstairs at the basketball games or when I am prompted to join (which I will soon)

Who is the president of the thing? Why are they not more vocal?
