Quote in the Shorthorn, which is honestly one of the best ideas for raising money I have heard.....good stuff:

Former National Football League athlete and alumnus Byron Williams said athletes could use the notoriety gained by playing professional football to help generate interest in fundraising. Williams, who has played for the Green Bay Packers, the New York Giants and the Detroit Lions, suggested a charity golf tournament with NFL players as a way to raise money.

"We've got enough former players that have gone on and played pro football that we could do all types of fundraising," Williams said. "I'm already rubbing elbows with guys that won't mind coming in and taking their time. I foresee that just being involved and being a part of it you could generate $100,000 a year."
