The official count, I think was 827, but I am not sure that was an accurate count. If it was conducted anything like the basketball games, they stop counting at half-time or when the bulk of the crowd stops coming in. I didn't show up until the second game and I saw a lot of people still waiting to get in.

I'm not convinced that there were more than 100 Baylor fans there. If there were, we couldn't see them from where we were sitting and we certainly didn't here them. It was loud. Very loud. I went to the restroom and the walls were thundering from the noise at the end of the second game.

I think UTA (players and fans) surprised themselves that night. It was very welcome though. And with the four wins in New York, I'm sure the girls are ready to take on Alabama and Indiana at home.

I hope that anyone who pays attention to this board realizes that Indiana is a VERY VERY strong team, and Alabama is rated about as close as we are, considering that they are in the Southeast region and volleyball is not a strong sport over there, not as strong as Texas, Arizona and California. So your participation is highly sought. I''ll bring the Big Blue Flag.

I'm expecting more people to show for the tournament than the Baylor game. Especially if the early wins are well publicized.

Maybe there could be some kind of welcome home for the girls. A very public kind, right in front of the Library on Tuesday. And a Pep Rally for the upcoming tournament!!!

And maybe if our team gets to the final game in our host tournament, maybe we can get the band to show and the R.O.T.C. to show in uniform. Wouldn't that be a sight! (as well as an easy way to slight the attendance record).

I think we'll be off to a great start for the season, as far as participation is concerned, if that happened. The girls are doing much better already than the coaches polls even suggested they would do, and that helps too.

Is anyone interested in going on the road for a game at Sam or SFA or Texas State? Lemme know and we can carpool.
