Subject: let's discuss this attendance thing

How many people do you really expect at college volleyball game on a friday night in Texas? Football anyone? Many of the students I knew growing up either worked, went to frat functions (aren't they supposed to be the leaders of schools spirit? where are they?), went back home to see the parents, had dates or went to their high school football games. Even the Rangers and Brahmas know that Friday Night Football kills attendance. Go to the convention center on a friday night to see hockey in October or November and about 2,000 show up. In January-March, crowds are more like 4,000 or so. How many people were at the ballpark last night? I bet there'll be many more tonight. I'd take it easy on Kurt--he does a great job and he's also the same guy we credit for helping gets crowds around 1100 for hoops the last few seasons.
