In my youth and adolescence the embarrassment was from female receptionists because I always had to pull everything down to my ankles and bend over their laps for humiliating injections in the bare bottom. The older I got, the worse my embarrassment at what I deemed childish treatment with a young lady watching. Because my trousers and pants were all the way down before I bent over and I pulled them up only upon standing after my shots, those girls were able to see everything I've got before and after, as well as my bare bottom during the injections.

On leaving the medical centre, I once got into conversation with a different doctor's receptionist, who freely confessed that holding teenaged boys (as I then was) across her lap for buttock injections was her favourite part of the job - emphasising that most had an erection when standing up after a shot. As with doctors and nurses, she no doubt kept a detached professional demeanour when doing even the favourite part of her job but her honesty with me about enjoying it played on my mind every time thereafter that I pulled everything down and bent over a receptionist's lap for an injection.
