I think it affected my life more than a little,because I was afraid of getting any kind of exam from a nurse or female doctor, because I thought it must be areally bad thing to do. Like showing disrespect or something. I really thought I would be kicked out of the doctors office or something like thatif I got a woody while being naked in front of one of them. First you are apparently thinking that it was normal for a chool nurse to perform an examination of boys completely undressed like Tom is relating for his six grade school exammination. It might have been embarrasing to be stark naked in front of a woman nurse even at 12 age. For a urine sample you could have been allowed to keep your brief! Secondly, I am surprised that the school nurse was enough angry about boys having an erection( which in my opinion was not very frequent even when examined in the nude and having his genitals inspected thoroughly) to use rude methods to stop their erection. She might have reacted as if it was normal. I don't think like Tom that a young schol nurse was friendly if she grabbed his ear and twisted it hard, which had worked but was painful! and the use of a pencil to thumb you at the end of the penis very hard like in Doug relation was not better ! Other softer methods were also successful like to put some ether on your penis. I have never been erceted at school physical examinations, So I had not experienced myself this method but I have heard by friends that it worked well. And I don't think that it was frequent that a school nurse instructed to a boy to pee in front of her while she hold a sample bottle, it was easier to get a urine sample when you had a little privacy to pee, for instance in a small restroom even without a door because in that case the nurse was behind you but did not see you peeing frontally. Indirectly, this presence can have a positive effect on the education process as well.
