Rectal temperature was the norm in France when I was young in the 80's and in the 90's. I had my temperature taken rectally until I was 11.

When I was 9 although I was embarrassed, I started to secretly enjoy it. The thermometer in my bottom triggered a pleasant sensation.

I never had my temperature taken during a real medical examination as an adult, but it happened to my wife 11 years ago.

Like you I have fantasies related to my childhood memories of rectal temperature. Unfortunately my wife is not particularly interested in doctor play.

I which position was your temperature taken ?

Mom would pretty much have me laying on my stomach she would dip the the thermometer in Vaseline then slide it in my butt she would leave it for 3 minutes or more if I was running a fever then I got a Tylenol suppository
At the pediatrician office the same but as I got older left leg bent just a little laying more on my stomach and side . back then you knew want to expect was embarrassing a little if the door was open or more than just the nurse and your mother was in the room
Why was ur wife’s temperature taking in her butt as adult?

I remember being 25 when I had the flu. Robe off, pajama pants down, and bare bottoms up for her old Vaselined mercury thermometer- 3 or 4 times a day, for a week! [ Post a Reply to This Message ]

My mom was very special to me and I to her since I was her only boy out of Five children. She wouldn't spare the paddle when I needed it.
One of my very special memories I have was when I was small (say under age 8), she would nurture me and protect me like a hen does her chicks. One extra special memory is whenever she took my temperature. In the sixties and seventies kids would always have this done rectally since it gave the most accurate reading. Every hospital and doctor's office did it that way as well and I never enjoyed them in either place.
I did, however, enjoy the wonderful way my mom did it. She had a very special way of relaxing me during the process.
She would take my pants and undies down or off, I don't remember which, and place me over her knee. After lubing my little hole and the rounded tip of the glass thermometer, she would gently separate my bottom cheeks and lovingly insert the glass into my little rectum.
Then came the part I adored. During the recommended four minutes (an eternity to a small child), she would place her warm hand on my bottom with the thermometer between her middle and index fingers. It felt so warm and comforting that I never gave her a problem in getting my temperature taken.
Sadly, she stopped taking it that way when I turned six. Once I asked her to take it that way but she refused.
I went on to live out that fantasy through playing doctor with my sister and my friends. It was a very special memory for me and it will never be lived again.
