Ok, so, NETSD *finally* fixed whatever was wrong with their dumb station, and I was able to watch the second compulsory dance, the Blues, in its entirety (my mother watched too but she fell asleep; I guess 24 couples skating the same pattern to the same music doesn't do much for her - but the costumes were fab! Lots of pink and sparkles!)

And last night I watch the original dance - twice! - and was mucho impressed by the Canadians albeit they're being a little tiny bit slow. But they definitely should have been slotted ahead of the Italians because, hello! She tripped on her skirt, he can't skate to save his life, and their original dance was rushed, rushed, rushed. I never liked them anyway. Well, I like her skating because she's the strongest ice dancer in the world, and I like her personality because she's such a witch, but her teeth are too big for the rest of her, and even though he's pretty cute he can't skate and always looks like he's struggling to keep up with her. That girl needs a new partner, like, yesterday.

The French were the best, as always (Go France! Brownie points for the hair, too!), and I'm very happy with Lobacheva and Averbuch because they've improved SO MUCH from last year. Very deserving of that 6.0 if only for the funky lift at the start.

P.S. Go Marie-France Dubreuil and Patrice Lauzon of Canada! Your OD is the coooooolest! Yay!
