First, let's clear something up. I gave a speech for Ms Bryant (Mrs. Clarke) my sophomore year on NMD. I made it entertaining with "lasers" and an "ICBM" that consisted of a pencil and a model rocket, perfect score.

For my persuasive speech, remind you I was a DXer at the time, I gave a speech on the topic: should the USFG take a more active role in determining local education policy? a bit biased? i think so. i still made it interesting (although "fast" and got marked off half a point). Just tell some jokes and they'll listen.

My suggested CONTROVERSAL (note spelling) topic:
Should the US train the Indonesian military for counter-terrrorist operations?
