Believe me.... pre-school...elementary school...middle school...high school...college.......... Bad teachers are a reality, and there is nothing we can do about it. Principals aren't in the classroom 24/7 to SEE what a particular teacher does; so they won't be quick to believe a failing student who has complaints about his teacher. I have had some of the worst teachers in the world...e.g. my advanced math teacher in my junior year of highs chool...she was essentially an impressionable PUSHOVER who couldn't explain; all she did was give examples that we had to do ourselves. Stupid. I learned zero things.
Bad teachers are all over the place.
Please...if you're going to be a teacher...don't rush. Be patient. Worry about teaching and ONLY that. Don't worry about "oh, you're tardy... the name has to go in the TOP RIGHT corner, not the top left..."that's crap...that has nothing to do with anything...if you teach math, teach math, not Skills for the Weekend 101. believe it or not, if you establish from day one that you will instill only pertinent information to your students' lives for a particular subject, they'll listen.
