Also, De Camp mangled a lot of the existing stories, changing the endings, etc. because the more of his work that were in those editions the more money he got paid in royalties, so it was in his best interests to have more of his work in there than Howard's. The ending of "The Treasure of Tranicos" is a real travesty, and nowhere near as good as the real ending of the story as Howard wrote it in "The Black Stranger" (de Camp also changed story titles so he could get more money).
