Subject: Speaking of Creepy
In reply to: mt. health mountaineer 's message, "Re: Legislation of Equality" on 15:14:08 08/29/01 Wed

Speaking of equality of outcome - this discussion has reminded me of the scene from "A Wrinkle in Time" where there is a whole neighborhood that is exactly the same - the kids all play at the same time, they all bounce the ball at the same time, etc. Creepy.

Speaking of creepy, has anyone noticed how much every town and city in America looks exactly the same? The same restaurants, the same grocery stores, the same supply stores. Any kind of mall has pretty much the same stores in them. Main Street in Columbus looks pretty much like Main Street anywhere in the Midwest, and probably a lot like Main Street anywhere in America. No matter where you go in America, you can eat the same food in the same restaurants... I think that is creepy. I also find Super-Stores to be creepy.
