Recycling is a good way to combat the liter problem I think. Instead of just throwing it out the car window some people might recycle. I wish there were more places to recycle. In my immediate area you can only recycle newspaper, clear glass and aluminum cans. I wish I knew of a place that recycled cardboard and plastic. Right now, Ann and I(and our dogs) produce about 1 33 gallon bag of trash a week. If we could recycle the other things our trash would probably be the size of a wal-mart bag.
There is also the adopt the highway program. You guys could join that and adopt your own section of highway to keep clean.
