Well, she says otherwise. Per capita income (total income divided by the number of mouths to feed) was considerably lower than my family's.
Unfortunately, most social experts agree with me on the traits, and being on the lower social bracket does not always equate to total income. Sometimes per capita income in the family is different. You are right when you say that you (or I) see the upper bracket of society as being immodest or rude. And they see us the same way. They are cultural brackets more than anything. Even the Beverly Hillbillies remained lower class even after they acquired their millions.
