Subject: RA Salvatore and Episode II

I started to read "Attack of the Clones" by R.A. Savatore, and was totally amazed. He sucks as an author. I figured that this author, much praised as the writer of D&D novels about Drow (Drizz't Do'urden), would be at least a readable author, but I can't go on with the book. How does he get published? His Star Wars book is totally unreadable. His writing is dull and uninteresting. He describes nothing. Nothing in his writing brings you into the world he is writing about.

I didn't expect him to be a great author, but I figured he'd at least be a functional, average author. He wasn't even that.
