If you don't want to play with the F-Stops and the lenses, about $100-150 will get you a great automatic camera with zoom and some other little nifties. That's what we have. I used to know about the non-automatics (manual?), for lack of a better word, but I decided that, for me, all that adjusting was just a pain in the butt and not worth it since I'm not taking anything but family-type photos.
I can rest assured that I have been absolutely no help to you. Anyone else able to help?
