Dividing up the Middle East is about as silly as a suggestion as I've seen. On a practical level, no one has been able to hold it for more than a century or so without major problems.
Just because it hasn't been done doesn't mean it can't be done.

I would only support a nuclear strike on Jerusalem. I think putting a huge nuclear hole there would put an end to a lot of stupid religious strife. :)

Didn't we do that in nearly every war? WW II against the misguided Nazi Party in Germany? Did we ask their soldiers what they agreed with politically before we shot them? Did we ask the people Hiroshima and Nagasaki whether they agreed with the Axis political agenda? Yes, I say we kill them and attempt to put an end to future problems.
