I think a life that consists of not taking sides on any issue, a life that sits on the sidelines watching "the great catastrophe of life" as John Mellencamp calls it and not really becoming invloved is a life that's potential is not reached.

Is sorrow always reached by becoming invloved?

Is conflict always a bad thing? I wish we could ask Harriet Tubman if it was worth conflicting with the laws and conventions of the time to help people become free.

I could list dozens upon dozens of examples, but I have not the time, and I'm sure you don't either. You get the point of what I'm saying.
